Very slow, no urgency at all, had to postpone my house move twice and they're not even my solicitor
Wish I'd read these reviews before using them. I have put a more comprehensive review on the solicitors review website and to be honest I won't go into detail again as I'm so frustrated with this company but I dealt with Ume and would never use her again. She was unprofessional and extremely slow. My mortgage broker recommended the company but have since told me they've had other complaints. Feel very let down by this.
My solicitor Henna Khan would continuously ignore my emails and calls, as well as the calls and emails from my agent and the solicitor of my seller. When I questioned her about this I was met with a rude and patronising tone and she became increasingly defensive telling me that despite the urgent status of my case, she 'did not have the manpower to update me regularly and work on my file simultaneously'. She then also told my agent that my case wasnt the most important file or priority to her.After our conversation Henna then proceeded to also charge me extra fees due to increased communication, which I find ridiculous due to the lack of communication I received and the fact that she had previously told me that this would not happen.When I formally logged a complaint with the firm, despite their policy stating that I would receive an acknowledgement in 3 days, I did not receive a response until more than two weeks later. I was told completion would take between 10-12 weeks. In the end my completion took approximately 15 weeks to occur, which I find especially ridiculous given the urgency of my case and my many discussions with the firm.The firm also refused to refund me the additional fees charged to me following the review of my complaint.My transaction could have fallen through at any time due to the incompetence of both the firm and my solicitor Henna herself. PLEASE BEWARE OF BLAKEWATER SOLICITORS
WILL NOT USE AGAIN. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. RECEPTION CLUELESS. NEVER RETURN YOUR CALLS. TEAM OF LAWYERS ARE VERY RUDE. THEY THINK THEY ARE THE ONLY ONES WITH KNOWLEDGE AND THE REST WERE BORN YESTERDAY. WE STRONGLY RECOMMEND NOT TO USE THEM. ONLY 5 REVIEWS IN 10 YEARS PLUS. SPEAKS FOR ITSELF.
Very professional and friendly service. The staff speak all the main Asian language's so it was easy to understand the whole process from start to finish. I recommend them highly for any legal issues you may have at very good rates. I was also able to keep an eye on my case through their case management system it shows you how far your case has proceeded in real time.
